A polite lad from Macclesfield, Ian Curtis marries his school sweetheart at age nineteen.
He holds down a job in a govermnent employment office, all the while trying for recognition with his new band Joy Division. After their first gig in London, Ian is diagnosed with epielpsy.
Soon the illness begins to fuel amazing performances whilst causing Ian great stress and embarrassment offstage. He is subsequently torn between his family obligations and the dawn of a new life beyond Macclesfield. Ian Curtis finally imploded in a conflagration of personal and profesisonal turmoil, only to become a lasting legend.
